2026 Parker STEM Fair Information
Registration deadline: March 14, 2026
The 2nd Annual Parker School STEM Fair is an exciting evening where curiosity comes to life. Students from all grades are invited to explore a question they find fascinating and turn it into a hands-on STEM project. Whether you love experimenting, building, coding, or solving problems, this is your chance to showcase your ideas.
Each student or team will meet with a friendly STEM Fair official who will listen, ask questions, and learn about the project. Plus, every participant is eligible to win fun prizes through a raffle drawing.
Who Can Participate?
Any and all Parker School students are encouraged to participate!
Registration Information:
Parents must register students online using the STEM Fair Registration Form (Google account required).
- - Students may work alone or with partners.
- - If working in a group, each student must be registered separately, and partner names should be listed.
What Is a STEM Project?
A STEM project is all about exploring a question and discovering answers.
Students will:
- Choose a problem or topic they’re curious about
- Ask a question and make a hypothesis (an educated guess)
- Experiment, build, test, or observe
- Share what they learned and what their results mean
Projects may connect to classroom learning—but they don’t have to. Students are encouraged to explore topics they truly enjoy. Many online resources offer STEM project ideas designed especially for middle school students.
Basic Rules (Quick Highlights):
- - Projects may be done individually or in groups of 2–3 students (not limited to the same grade).
- - Any STEM topic is welcome, as long as it follows fair guidelines.
- - Displays cannot require electricity, as outlets are not available.
- - Experiments must be safe to perform at home and during the fair.
- - No dangerous materials (fire, matches, power tools, etc.).
- - No food may be shared at the fair (food-based experiments may be completed at home).
- - No live animals may be brought to the fair—use photos instead.
Project Display Info.:
- - Free-standing display (about 3 ft x 2 ft on a table). Display boards, models, and visuals are encouraged. Displays should clearly tell the story of the project,
- - Tri-fold or foam boards recommended and are available at stores like Walmart, Michael’s, and Staples.
- - Include the project title and student name(s)
On the Day of the Fair:
- - Drop off and set up projects between 4:00–6:00 p.m.
- - Upon arrival, check the assignment tables and set up at your designated spot.
- - Families may set up early and return for the event, or arrive closer to 6:00 p.m
- - Students will be assigned a 20-minute time slot to talk about their project
- - Walk around, explore, and enjoy other projects!
- - All displays go home at the end of the event.
