CHS PTO

Traditionally, the CHS PTO has primarily focused on fundraising for, and executing, the 40-year After Prom tradition. Other than that, we keep our fundraising efforts to a minimum so as not to interfere with the numerous fundraising efforts of all the various after-school clubs and sports teams, each of which organize their own events.

The CHS PTO also hosts several Staff Appreciation events throughout the school year.

The CHS PTO holds monthly meetings with the CHS principal and The School Committee liaison (meeting dates are listed below). We encourage any high school parents/guardians to join us and let us know how you think we can make things even better for our students and their families.

      After Prom

      A party AFTER the Prom

      Each year, the PTO is delighted to host a party after the Prom to give CHS Seniors something safe and fun to do as a group. All CHS Seniors are welcome to attend whether they go to the Prom or not!

      This “Last Roar” After Party begins at 11:00 p.m. the night the Prom is held and runs until 5:00 a.m. the following morning. It features a DJ, contests, games, activities, food, drinks, and prizes. Every half hour, prizes — gift cards, electronics, appliances, cash prizes, etc. — are raffled off with the Grand Prize being awarded at 5:00 a.m. but the winner must be present at that time to collect!

      This long-running (40+ years), supervised, safe, alcohol-free, late-night post-Prom celebration for ALL Senior students is supported by the Chelmsford School District, The School Committee, the Chelmsford Police, and the community, who all pitch in to help keep the kids safe on Prom Night. It is made possible by community members and local businesses who generously donate goods.
