The McCarthy Middle School PTO works with parents, teachers and administrators to:
- Encourage and foster a close bond and communication between home, school and community
- Expand the educational and cultural horizons for McCarthy students by sponsoring programs that enhance their physical, intellectual, social and emotional education
- Provide support for the teaching staff and administration of McCarthy Middle School
- Support the McCarthy School Improvement Council and Council of Chelmsford Schools by promoting and filling the parent positions from within the McCarthy parent community
Following the 2023 realignment of the McCarthy and Parker middle schools, the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) at both schools have joined forces and will hold one joint meeting each month (meeting dates are listed below). Together we will collaborate to plan and execute some joint events and fundraisers and keep one another apprised of other school-specific happenings. We encourage any middle school parents/guardians to join us and let us know how you think we can make this transition even better for our students and their families.
